Changing the ignition switch is easy. Steering cowlings off, release locking catch for connector (which is a ?$%! to do), then the connector can be removed. Two small screws hold the switch onto the column. Immobiliser doesn't affect the starter - well, the standard Vx doesn't anyway.
From then on it won't start at all. My mate says he unplugged the plug that goes into the side of the block, the one you disconnect when doing the spark plugs. but he is adement it was back in before engine started. I got the rac out who tried to jump start, bump start, checked fuses, checks plugs were in as they should be, battery.
P0700 is a common code if it’s an electrical issue related to the transmission. If something has gone wrong in the transmission, your Astra may not be able to accelerate anymore, or it’ll. If it can no longer shift, it could be caused by a solenoid/valve body that has gone bad, clutch packs, debris, and much more.

Fault code is p1120- Accelerator pedal position sensor 1, input signal too high. Delphi live reading is reading a voltage of 4.89v on sensor 1 and 0.41v from sensor 2. Ive already replaced the pedal
